DescriptionEastlake Community Church in Chula Vista contracted with Legacy Building Services for the new construction of an 18,000 square foot, 1,458-seat auditorium to accommodate their fast-growing South Bay congregation. Legacy worked closely with the church and the design team to redefine building parameters through an intensive value engineering effort resulting in extensive cost savings with no impact to the design intent. The success of the cost savings effort allowed Eastlake Community Church to realize their full vision for the new worship center by expanding the project to include all of the interior finishes in the new auditorium, which features spectacular state-of-the-art audio/visual and theatrical lighting systems. Legacy was charged with building the infrastructure to support the new technology and with coordinating the installation of these systems around the ongoing construction activities. Legacy’s scope of work also included all associated site work. The church held their first worship service on December 15th of 2007.
